Katy Spence, LMFTDirector of Behavioral Health

Katy Spence moved to Marin County in 1969 from rural Wyoming and grew up in Mill Valley. Katy has lived in San Rafael for the past 40 years where she raised her family. Katy has been a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist since 1995 and has worked for more than 25 years designing and operating mental health and residential treatment programs in Marin and the Bay Area to deliver specialty mental health services to homeless, severely mentally ill and substance using individuals. Katy leads our Homeless Outreach Team program that secures supportive housing for people experiencing chronic homelessness with multiple health programs. She also oversees our homeless Veteran Outreach Services Team. She is a member of Marin’s Homeless Policy Steering Committee and an interim member on the Siskiyou County Mental Health Board. Katy is a graduate of Tamalpais High School and Dominican University.
