Volunteering with the Teen Internship Program

Anyone wishing to volunteer with us is required to attend our orientation on the first Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. If the first Monday falls on a holiday, orientation will be the second Monday of that month.

Teen Internship Program

Join the Team!

*Call Cris Jones, Volunteer Coordinator at 454-3303 to participate in the Teen Internship Program.
*Come to the next volunteer orientation to schedule your volunteer hours.
*Attend Teen Internship meetings the first Monday of each month at 4:00.

Special Projects:

*Work 10 hours in the Dining Room.
*Be an office helper, data entry person or clothing manager.
*Help with holiday decorations and entertainment.
*Run or walk in the Marin Human Race for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
*Walk in the Homeless Chaplaincy Memorial March.

Become a Leader:

*Give an education presentation to your group. Check out a St. Vincent De Paul Society education package for your school or community group to study homelessness. Lesson plans dispel myths about people without homes and give students a chance to make a contribution toward ending homelessness.

*Participate in a donation drive:

  • * Socks
  • * Peanut butter
  • * Bag Lunches
  • * Toiletries
  • * Offices supplies

*Organize a team for the Marin Human Race in May.
*Work at the St. Vincent De Paul booth at the race.
*Lead other teen interns by running a group meeting.
